Nollywood actress Sarah Martins recently addressed the criticism she received for publicly expressing her affection for social media personality Verydarkman. Following Verydarkman’s release, Sarah took to Instagram to celebrate his return, stating that it brightened her evening.
In her post, she referred to Verydarkman as her “sweet husband,” which drew ridicule from some social media users. In response to the backlash, Sarah defended herself on Instagram, highlighting that both she and Verydarkman share the same last name—Martins. She emphasized that, in her heart, they are already united in marriage and called on critics to respect their connection.
In her comments, she stated, “I see all the hate comments on Instablog concerning my undying love for my Prince Charming VDM. In case you haven’t noticed, I have his last name ‘Martins’, Sarah Martins… Vincent Martins. We are officially married in my heart. If you can’t wish us well, please leave us alone. It’s 2am and I’m still awake thinking of my baby. Y’all, he’s mine, period.”
