Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has extended his birthday wishes to the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiyy Agbotomokekere, as he celebrates his 90th birthday.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, Governor Makinde praised the
Islamic cleric for his remarkable contributions to Islam, Ibadanland, Oyo State, and humanity.
Sheikh Agbotomokekere, who is also the Grand Imam of Oyo State and Grand Patron of the League of Imams and Alfas of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, was celebrated by the governor for his exemplary leadership and commitment to the development of Oyo State.
"Baba has been an outstanding religious leader, with a strong sense of patriotism and dedication to the growth of our state. His life has made a significant impact on Islam, Ibadanland, and Oyo State," Governor Makinde said.
As Sheikh Agbotomokekere joins the ranks of nonagenarians, Governor Makinde prayed for Allah to grant him more years and good health to continue leading the people and making a positive impact on humanity.
