Adeniji Olamide Picks Nomination Form for NUJ Oyo Council Secretary

Adeniji Olamide, a respected journalist and media professional with over 19 years of experience, has officially picked up his nomination form to contest for the position of Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Oyo State Council.

Olamide, currently serving as public-relations manager for multiple ministries, departments and agencies in Oyo State, is a former Secretary of the NUJ Information Chapel in Ibadan. His candidacy is described by supporters as timely and reform-oriented, with emphasis on strengthening journalist welfare, ethics and professional development across print, broadcast and digital media platforms.

Declaring his intent, Olamide committed to representing the voices of young and seasoned journalists alike, enhancing training opportunities, improving working conditions, and promoting transparency within the union’s administration. The upcoming NUJ elections are scheduled for December 2025 and will bring together a broad spectrum of media practitioners across the state.
