The incident, which occurred yesterday, prompted immediate security measures as armed personnel from the Yemetu Police Division, alongside neighborhood watch members, secured the area.
Following the discovery, officials from the Oyo State Ministry of Environment visited the site to commence investigations. The affected well has been cordoned off, while security operatives remain on ground to prevent unauthorized access pending the conclusion of the investigation.
