In a statement released via its official X handle on Monday, the anti-graft agency said Folarin, who previously served as a driver at the EFCC Ibadan Zonal Directorate, was dismissed after investigations revealed he had forged his academic certificates.
The EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, directed his arrest for unlawfully retaining official properties of the Commission, including an identity card, which should have been surrendered following his dismissal.
“The Commission strongly dissociates itself from the post-dismissal conduct of Folarin and warns the public against linking his actions to the EFCC,” the statement read in part.
