The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement released on Wednesday in Abuja by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and around the world on the occasion, urging reflection on the Prophet’s virtues of peace, love, humility, tolerance, and compassion, which he described as vital for building a united and progressive nation.
He further appealed to Nigerians of all faiths to continue praying for peace, security, and stability in the country, while supporting government efforts toward fostering national harmony and sustainable development.
