In a bid to support educational development and assist the less privileged, former Oyo State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Bimbo Adekanmbi, has launched the 2026 edition of his free UTME (JAMB) form distribution and scholarship scheme. The initiative targets intelligent students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds across all 11 local government areas in Ibadan who wish to pursue higher education.
Speaking on the program, Adekanmbi emphasized that the yearly initiative is designed to ease the financial burden on parents and foster a culture of academic excellence. "Our free JAMB form is for indigent but intelligent students. All applicants will go through MOCK exams, and those who are successful will be registered for JAMB and have high chances of benefiting from the scholarship program," he stated.
The scholarship program goes beyond mere registration; it includes sponsorship for successful candidates with the highest scores in each local government area to federal institutions. Over the years, the scheme has reportedly distributed over 500 free forms annually and covered tuition fees for beneficiaries now studying in institutions such as the University of Ibadan (UI), Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), and Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA). Additionally, the initiative provides support for NECO forms for students unable to retake their SSCE due to financial constraints.

They will undergo a mock examination a week after registration to determine eligibility. Successful applicants will be contacted via their submitted mobile numbers.
