In a statement issued on Thursday by the Service Public Relations Officer, ACI AS Akinlabi, the revised fees apply only to applications processed within Nigeria.
Under the new structure, the 32-page passport with a five-year validity will now cost ₦100,000, while the 64-page passport with a ten-year validity will cost ₦200,000.
The NIS clarified that charges for passport applications by Nigerians in the diaspora remain unchanged at $150 for the 32-page (five-year validity) and $230 for the 64-page (ten-year validity).
According to the Service, the adjustment is intended to preserve the quality and integrity of the Nigerian passport while ensuring continued accessibility for citizens
