Let’s Reclaim Oyo from PDP, APC Stakeholders Urge Party Leaders, Members

Stakeholders of the APC in the Outer City Zone of Ibadanland in Oyo State have called on party leaders and members to build on recent successes and intensify efforts to “reclaim” the state from the PDP.

They praised the State Executive Committee under Alhaji Olayide Abas for organizing a productive leadership summit that brought together all tendencies in the party. During the summit, participants reflected on challenges APC has faced in recent years and explored internal solutions to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Alhaji Kamorudeen Ajisafe JP (Zonal Chairman) and Bashorun Billy Ogundele (Secretary), on behalf of the stakeholders, stressed the need for genuine reconciliation among factions, deeper engagement with grassroots members, and a focus on unity. They emphasized that APC should provide an enabling environment where all members can meaningfully contribute towards the shared goal of wresting control of Oyo State from PDP.

They also noted that recent developments signal that “the good old days” for APC in Oyo might be returning, and urged the State leadership to remain committed, focused, and democratic in its dealings with all internal groups. Messages of solidarity were reportedly received from members of the National Assembly and other party leaders in their zone.
