Data released by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) showed that the naira slightly appreciated to ₦1,534.5 per dollar on Tuesday, up from ₦1,534.8 per dollar on Monday; a gain of 30 kobo.
As a result, the gap between the parallel market rate and the official Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) rate widened to ₦20.5 per dollar, compared to ₦15.2 per dollar on Monday.
