Odidi Omo Donates ₦10 Million at Baptist Conference, Calls for Unity and Moral Renewal

Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, popularly known as Odidi Omo, has donated ₦10 million in support of the 14th Annual Conference in Sessions of the Champion & Overcomer Baptist Associations in Ibadan.

Odidi Omo, who represents Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and is the APM candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, made the donation while addressing the Baptist gathering themed “By His Spirit.”

Speaking at the conference, Odidi Omo expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to be with the Baptist family in Ibadan and Ibarapa, acknowledging the church’s contributions to education, moral formation, community development and responsible citizenship.

He also used the occasion to call for stronger moral values and responsible leadership, stressing that public service should be driven by service, accountability, compassion and genuine concern for the people.

Odidi Omo appealed to the congregation to pray for leaders and those entrusted with public responsibility, saying that leadership requires wisdom, integrity and courage to do what is right.

In his informal remarks, he also asked the Baptist community to “see me as your son”, explaining that he values their prayers and support as he continues his journey in public service.

He spoke about his background as a computer scientist before entering politics and emphasized that his involvement in public life is driven by a desire to serve his people.

He further highlighted his personal connection to both Christian and Muslim traditions, noting that his mother is a Christian while his father is a Muslim, and reaffirmed his commitment to serving people across religious divides.

The ₦10 million donation announced by Odidi Omo in support of the conference was one of the highlights of his participation.

Following his address, church leaders and elders invited him forward, and the congregation joined in prayers for him, committing his leadership and future endeavours into the hands of God.

The conference brought together members of the Baptist community for a gathering centred on faith, unity, service and the theme “By His Spirit.”
