Oyo Youth Leaders Meet to Chart Path to Electoral Victory

Youth leaders from all 33 local government areas of Oyo State convened virtually for the inaugural session of the Amofin Beulah Adeoye Political Movement, signalling a significant shift in grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.

The 2½-hour meeting, chaired by State Youth Leader Aare Azeez Sharafudeen-Biafra and State Coordinator Hon. Aransi Wasiu, outlined a three-pronged agenda: elevating youth participation in political processes, strengthening coordination among local youth leadership, and fostering collective responsibility and loyalty to the movement’s mission.

Opening the session, Aare Biafra thanked youth leaders for their commitment and stressed the importance of discipline, unity and strategic planning to achieve electoral success. He emphasised that the movement’s base must rapidly expand across every ward and local government and that youth engagement must be sustained through grassroots structures.

Among the proposals adopted was a comprehensive rebranding plan to enhance visibility and identity. Youth Leader Oladejo Ibrahim Akinlolu of Ona Ara Local Government proposed branded materials—caps, vests, stickers and banners—and the idea received enthusiastic approval across the meeting.

Hon. Wasiu announced that the movement’s coordination office—Beulah House in Mokola, Ibadan—would serve as a central hub for all future operations and youth-driven activities. Beyond administrative functions, the office is intended to become a community liaison centre and space for training, strategy-building and mobilisation.

Addressing the need for sustained momentum, Youth Leader Salam Kaseem of Oyo West Local Government called for regular engagements, zonal meetings and strategic outreach to isolated wards. He emphasised the urgency of bridging the gap between urban and rural youth, and ensuring no area is left behind in the mobilization effort.

The session concluded with a rallying call to all youth leaders: the time to organise, mobilise and act is now. The movement made clear its focus on the upcoming election cycle and its ambition to shape political outcomes through structured, disciplined youth involvement.
