The Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) has formally announced Saturday, January 16, 2027, as the scheduled date for the next local government council elections across the state. This critical declaration was made by the Commission’s Chairman, Dr. Babatunde Afees Adeniyi, following the conclusion of an inaugural strategy meeting held with the management team at the commission's headquarters in Agodi, Ibadan.
