The Oyo State Project Performance & Monitoring Agency (OYSPPMA) has embarked on a comprehensive inspection tour across key locations in the state, including Ibadan, Iseyin and Oyo town. The tour, led by the Agency Chairman, Engineer Muftau Open Salawu, focused on developmental projects aimed at enhancing education infrastructure, agricultural business hubs and campus upgrades.
Sites visited include the Government Technical College in Ibadan, the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA) offices, the Fashola Agricultural Business Hub, and the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Iseyin campus where a new lecture hall and classrooms are nearing completion. Engineer Salawu observed that the contractor handling the Technical College renovation in Ibadan is also undertaking the facility in Saki, showing efficient utilisation of resources.
Speaking on the mission, Salawu emphasised that the projects are designed to create a conducive learning environment, reduce poverty through skills development, and generate wealth by enhancing employment opportunities. He stated the state government, under Seyi Makinde, remains committed to people-centric projects that ease economic burdens on residents.
