The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is gearing up to host its much-anticipated National Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State, scheduled for November 15th and 16th, 2025. The event promises to attract top political figures, party stalwarts, and dignitaries from all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
In preparation for the convention, the Secretary of the Protocol Committee and Oyo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Hon. Mrs. Toyin Balogun, led members of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) on a reconnaissance visit to the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
The strategic session held at the stadium focused on evaluating logistics, facilities, and security arrangements to ensure a smooth, well-coordinated, and memorable convention experience for all attendees.
Present at the session were the Chief of Protocol, Otunba; the General Manager of the Oyo State Sports Council; the Director of Communication to the Commissioner, Mrs. Dosunmu; and the Facility Manager of the stadium. Discussions centered on logistics optimization, crowd management, and ensuring comfort for both delegates and guests.
Hon. Toyin Balogun received commendations for her exceptional leadership and organizational foresight in coordinating the committee’s activities. Her dedication and attention to detail reflect the visionary leadership style of Governor Seyi Makinde, FNSE, whose administration continues to uphold excellence, inclusion, and progress in Oyo State’s governance and event management.
With Hon. Balogun leading the Protocol Committee, Oyo State’s readiness for the grand convention has been assured. Stakeholders expressed confidence that the state will deliver another world-class event that underscores its growing reputation as a hub for political and social excellence.
Ibadan is ready. Oyo State is ready. The PDP is ready.
