The two-day competition will hold on Saturday, September 6, and Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the Ibadan Polo Club Grounds, Eleyele Road, with matches scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. daily.

According to a statement signed by the Club Captain, Carl Alakija, six teams will battle for honours in what promises to be a thrilling showcase of polo excellence. Among the top players confirmed for the tournament are Ahmed Umar of Ibadan Polo Club (+3), Dantala Ibrahim of Lagos Polo Club (+3), and Habib Buhari of Kano Polo Club (+2).

Alakija assured fans of top-class polo artistry throughout the weekend while appreciating the tournament sponsors—Durante Feed Limited, Pop Cola, Chicken Republic, and Sooyah Bistro, among others; for their steadfast support. He added that their contributions have continued to raise the profile of polo in Ibadan while fostering a vibrant, festive atmosphere for both players and spectators.
Organizers also announced that entry to the tournament will be free, an initiative aimed at encouraging the public to attend in large numbers and enjoy the thrill of Nigeria’s “sport of kings.”
